Description
The emphasis of this workshop is to extend our knowledge of rendering light on specific forms and the individual textures that describe them. This task will be explored through the execution of a painted still life.
A composition will be designed that focuses on these facts. Painting and observing from life is always the best way to understand and read light, but this will not be possible in this particular workshop. If a student wishes to create a composition with their own specific ideals in mind, they should bring a full-size drawing of their composition as well as a high quality photo for them to work from.
To accomplish these assignments, a basic understanding of values and color mixing is necessary for this workshop.
